Snow? Seriously?

It's been raining cats and dogs all last night and today — the kind of torrential downpour that we Californians are unaccustomed to — and it has sucked. But now? It is fucking snowing outside. It's not even Halloween yet! What in tarnation?!

Okay, it's not serious, hardcore snow -- I can't really see that well from the window nearest me, but I'm pretty sure it's melting as it hits the ground. However, it is still snow, and it is still October.

[Insert forlorn whining here.]

Crap, I guess we're going to have to buy some salt and figure out where the hell all the winter shit is packed away.

This is going to be long; as The Husband will vouch, I don't know how to tell a story any other way. The short version is that our next door neighbor, who seemed like a nice guy, suddenly showed his true — crazy asshole — colors yesterday. We share a driveway with him, so that sucks.
